Federal Funding: Drug Courts

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (Justice Department) wants to improve operations at the nation’s drug courts, offering the following two solicitations to pinpoint best practices.

  1. Opportunity: Family Drug Court Statewide System Reform (CFDA Number: 16.585) (Funding Opportunity Number: OJJDP-2014-3926); Federal Agency: Office of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention (Justice Department); Who Can Apply: State governments; Funding Details: Approximately three awards up to $500,000 each; Deadline: July 23; Synopsis: These funds will incorporate effective local family drug court practices into larger state-level child welfare, substance abuse treatment and court systems. Opportunity: Enhancements to Juvenile Drug Courts (CFDA Number: 16.585) (Funding Opportunity Number: OJJDP-2014-3951); Agency: Office of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention (Justice Department); Who Can Apply: State and local governments and courts; Funding Details: Approximately eight awards up to $500,000 each; Deadline: July 23; Synopsis: These funds will enhance the capacity and services provided by juvenile drug courts.
