Communities to Receive FTA Public Transit Assistance

(Deadline: April 10) The Federal Transit Admin. (Transportation Dept.) offers a $4 million award for its Nat’l Public Transportation/Transit-Oriented Development Technical Assistance Initiative (CFDA Number: 20.514) (Funding Opportunity Number: DOT-FTA-TODTA-FY2015).

The grantee will provide technical assistance for transit-oriented development activities around public transportation stations, especially those in economically distressed communities. The grantee will organize a technical assistance team with practical expertise in a range of disciplines including public transportation, transit-oriented development, land use, urban planning, affordable housing, environmental justice and community-based economic development. Nonprofits can apply for the funding.
