$$$ Supports Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Grants

The Foundation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry will soon launch the FY 2015 Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Access to Care Grants competition to support projects improving the oral health of infants, children and adolescents.

Deadline: TBA (competition opens May 1, last year’s deadline was Aug. 18).

The competition provides up to $20,000 in matching funds for local dental care efforts that help underserved children, including those with special healthcare needs. Initiatives demonstrating collaboration with other institutions and organizations will be given priority consideration. Eligibility is broad and includes health departments, nonprofits, dental societies; national, state and local pediatricians’ groups; and state and local gynecological/obstetric groups.
