New ED Centers to Address Veteran College Completion

The Education’s Dept’s  Office of Postsecondary Education opens the Centers of Excellence for Veteran Student Success (CFDA Number: 84.116G) (Funding Opportunity Number: ED-GRANTS-042415-001) competition.

Eligibility: Public and private colleges and universities; Funding: $5 million for 15 awards; Deadline: June 23.

These centers will develop model programs to support veteran student success in postsecondary education by coordinating services that address the academic, financial, physical and social needs of veteran students.

OPE really wants to hear about projects with specific steps to recruit, retain and graduate veterans from underserved groups with college completion rates that are below the national average, such as English language learners and homeless veterans.
