HHS Grants go for Special Needs Center for Children

Dept of Health and Human ServicesAgency: Health & Human Services (HHS) (Health Resources & Services Admin., HRSA); Program: National Center for Family/Professional Partnerships (CFDA Number: 93.110) (Funding Opportunity Number: HHS- HRSA-13-206); Eligibility: Governments, public and private nonprofits (faith-based and community groups are also eligible); Funding: $600,000for one award (grants will help improve services to children and youth with special health needs); Deadline: Dec. 11.

Summary: The national centers will support local efforts to improve delivery of care to children and youth with special health needs. The Center for Family/Professional Partnerships will focus on families of at-risk children and youth. Specifically, projects should focus on family engagement and cultural and linguistic competence and implement family and youth leadership development and training activities, for racially and ethnically diverse minority families
