Summary: The foundation encourages and enables individuals and communities to partner together to help people help themselves. It supports projects that are self-help in nature, affirm individual dignity, and create incentives for people to participate in their own self-development. The foundation accepts proposals for program expenses for national and international human service relief and development projects. Projects must demonstrate a specific and focused community-based strategy for economic development in the areas of hunger relief, jobs, and small business start-up. The foundation also accepts proposals for senior care, and educational/leadership development programs for youth, child abuse and neglect prevention, and strengthening family values.

The foundation gave $44,000 to InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in Fresno, CA, for program expansion, and $30,000 to Focus on the Family, Colorado Springs, CO, for an adoption program. It also gave $50,000 to Mission Aviation Fellowship, Nampa, ID, for an evangelical outreach program.
