Faith Based Groups Eligible for Community Grants

Summary: The foundation funds programs that help children and youth. Applications must be complete and received in the foundation’s office by July 1 to be considered at the October meeting. Grants are approved only by specific resolution of the foundation’s board and are effective only after a Grant Agreement has been executed. Programs supporting at-risk youth, faith-based groups and foster children rank high on the list of past grant awards. For example, the foundation gave $50,000 to the South Texas Children’s Home, Beeville, TX, for operating support; $30,000 to Boys and Girls Club of Corpus Christi, for after school and summer programs; and $6,000 to Foster Angels of South Texas Foundation, Corpus Christi, for general support.
