Projects Can Win Ice Cream Maker Funding Support

Summary: This may be a hidden opportunity for schools and youth programs. Funds also support nonprofit community organizations bringing about progressive social change. These grants have supported children/youth programs in the past. Fox example, the foundation recently gave $15,000 to the Oakland Black Organizing Project and the Bettering Our School System (BOSS) initiative that seeks to stop criminalization of students and end policing in schools; $10,000 to Post Oil Solutions to help schools in the Central Connecticut River Valley develop a communities’ food system, $15,000 to the Chicago Community Organizing & Family Issues project that strengthens the voice of low-income families and helps them to organize to win improvements in K-12 schools, and $15,000 to Teach Our Children (New Haven, CT) to keep parents and students involved in education policy and decision making.
