DoEd Offers $3M for Parental Training

Summary:  The grants ensure that parents of children with disabilities receive training and information to help improve results for their children.

The program has the following absolute priority year, funding Community Parent Resource Centers. In targeted communities, CPRCs provide underserved parents of children with disabilities with the training and information they need to enable them to participate cooperatively and effectively in helping their children. These parents can include, for example, low-income parents, parents with limited English proficiency, and parents with disabilities. Youth can include, for example, youth living in low-income households and youth with limited English proficiency.
