Summary: Funding supports efforts to improve early child care. Grants will aid rigorous high-quality research and evaluation plans of the implementation of policies in response to the goals of the Child Care and Development Block Grant program. These planning grants may be followed by a second competitive funding opportunity that would provide funding to carry out the planned research evaluations, officials say.
