Neighbors Coalition Accepting Applications for Community Grants

grantsThe Central Northeast Neighbors Coalition in Portland, OR, in partnership with the Office of Neighborhood Involvement, is accepting applications for its Neighborhood Small Grants Program.

Deadline: Nov. 14.

Grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded for projects designed to increase the number and diversity of people who are involved and engaged in their neighborhoods; strengthen neighborhood and community capacity in the areas of leadership, improve education; and increase neighborhood impact on public decisions and community life.

Neighborhood and community organizations are eligible to apply. Priority consideration will be given to proposals submitted on behalf of and in direct partnership with one or more groups, including neighborhood associations; organizations predominantly led by and/or involving people from historically underrepresented or underserved groups (i.e., communities of color, immigrants and refugees, low-income individuals and families, youth, people with disabilities.

Projects must serve residents of ┬áPortland’s Central Northeast neighborhood.
