Upcoming Solicitation Focuses on Child Well-Being

Agency: Health & Human Services Dept. (Admin. for Children & Families); Program: Regional Partnership Grants to Increase the Well-Being of, and to Improve the Permanency Outcomes for, Children Affected by Substance Abuse (CFDA Number: 93.087) (Funding Opportunity Number: HHS-2017-ACF-ACYF-CU-1229); Eligibility: Regional partnerships including governments, public and private colleges, nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status and for-profits (a state child welfare agency must be a partner); Funding: $6.6 million for 11 awards, up to $600,000 each; Deadline: June (the NOFA is to be released in April 2017).

Summary: These funds will go for regional partnerships that coordinate programs and services to increase the well-being of children who are in out-of-home placements or are at risk of being placed in one as a result of a parent’s or caretaker’s substance abuse.
