Summary: These funds go for projects to educate the public about safe and clean boating. Those offering programs providing hands-on experience for boaters and using social media receive preference. Youth groups have won. Safe Kids Craven County New Bern, NC, won a grant to hold a Marina Day to promote boating safety for children. And, Safe Kids, Toledo, OH, won a grant for a movie theater ad campaign promoting youth boating safety.
