Summary: The foundation has made a strong commitment to identifying and nurturing young people who demonstrate exceptional talent in mathematics and science. Priority also goes to institutions in partnership with world-class researchers or project leaders for forward-thinking projects that address math, science, philosophy, economics, nurturing gifted and talented people, and advancing genetics. Schools have benefited. The foundation made a $3,250 grant to the Girls Preparatory School (www.gps.edu) Chattanooga, TN, for unrestricted support and made an operating grant last year to the Greensboro Day School (www.greensboroday.org) Greensboro, NC.
