Hartford Grants Favor Aging, Health Projects

Summary: The foundation support efforts to increase the nation’s capacity and ability to serve older adults by engaging doctors, nurses, and social workers at all the stages of their formation and professional growth. Priority areas include training grants, which support efforts in selected academic medical centers and other health settings to strengthen the geriatric training of physicians, nurses and social workers and integrating and improving services grants, which support efforts to improve and integrate the system of services needed by elders.┬áThe foundation makes grants primarily by invitation. However, applicants are invited to familiarize themselves with the foundation’s mission. If you feel a project falls within the foundation’s focus, you should submit a brief letter of inquiry (1-2 pages), including a summary of the purpose and activities of the grant, the qualifications of the applicant and institution, and an estimated cost and time frame for the project. Those submitting proposals will be notified of the results in approximately six weeks.
