Summary: The foundation invests in improving the quality of life in communities where Alcoa operates. The foundation is especially interested in projects producing replicable, measurable, long-term results, which can be shared with other organizations.

Youth groups can benefit; the foundation gave $20,000 to the Student Conservation Assn. Charlestown, NH, for a youth environmental program and $450,000 to City Year, Boston, MA, for a K-12 public school project.

Alcoa Inc., recently separated into two publicly traded companies – Alcoa Corporation and Arconic. With the Alcoa Inc. separation complete, the assets of the former Alcoa Foundation, now known as Legacy Alcoa Foundation, were divided into two separate, nonprofit foundations, Arconic Foundation (https://goo.gl/54bI8J) and Alcoa Foundation.
