Summary: The Minnesota-based foundation supports programs designed aimed at improving people’s lives and strengthening communities. Special emphasis is directed toward programs designed to promote education and enrichment, health and safety, human services, civic support, and low-income housing. The foundation likes proposals focusing on community centers, community/economic development, environment/natural resources, hospitals, public health, mental health/crisis services, performing arts, safety/disasters, science and economically disadvantaged populations. Youth groups have benefited from the education grants. The foundation gave $10,000 to Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, Maplewood, MN, for a STEM education program.
