Greening Forward, a Denver-based environmental advocacy group, rolls out its funding program this year to provide grants to teams of youth volunteers (ages 5-25) for conservation projects, such as community beautification, recycling and waste reduction, Earth Day celebration/special events, environmental education.
The amount of individual grants varies, but since 2008, the organization has distributed more than $58,000 in grants. Greening Forward is offering grants to projects based in New York, Georgia, Washington, DC, and Denver. The group will also consider projects that promote water quality monitoring, green space creation, and urban farming. Eligibility: schools, organizations and students that have attended one of the organization’s training events.
