Summary: Little Kids Rock provides free training, instruments and resources to teachers who want to run music programs in their school. Any full-time public school teacher in one of the 25 pre-approved cities is eligible to apply for the next modern band workshop in their district.

Applicants don’t need to have advanced abilities on all instruments, but only a basic proficiency on the guitar. ¬†Instruments available include: electric guitars, acoustic guitars, bass guitars, keyboards and drum kits. The organization has a broad base of support in the music industry, including Lady Gaga, Bob Weir (of the Grateful Dead) and Chad Smith (drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers).
