Store Grants Aid Organizations Helping Needy Families

The Big Lots Foundation supports nonprofit organizations that improve the lives of families and children in the communities the company serves throughout the United States, with the exception of Alaska, Hawaii, and South Dakota.

Deadline: July 1.

The foundation’s target areas include hunger, housing, healthcare, and education. Nonprofits are eligible to apply. Three education priorities are: service-learning curriculum that aligns with education standards; servant leadership through academic and experiential learning; and improving classroom learning outcomes through innovation

Priority is given to organizations that help needy families transition from poverty to self-sufficiency. Requests are reviewed two times per year. Organizations may only request one in-kind donation per calendar year by submitting an application via the online application portal.
