Conservation Campaigns Get Funding Support

Summary: The foundation funds advertising designed to promote U.S. wild land ecosystem conservation and restoration. Grants may be used to: produce print, radio or television ads; pay for advertising space or airtime; or produce or distribute pamphlets, books, videos or press packets. However, because grants are for ecosystem advertising campaigns, not for general organizational support, they may not be used to cover costs associated with the production of organization newsletters, membership campaigns or for staff salaries. Youth groups have benefited. The foundation awarded $2,500 to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, which supports school-based environmental education projects.
